People with FM system has a lead that is use for head phone so this is how to use is

step one – turn the FM system on to mute

step two – plug in one of the sides of the lead in to the round hole in the Moter

step three- plug in the other side of the lead plug it in were you plug in the mic phone and done

Has your lanyard come off the motor?

If this is the case then here are a few simple steps to fix this:

Step 1 – take the lanyard holder off of the motor

Step 2 – take the clip out of the case and then clip it to the motor.

Step 3  – Call a hearing support person for assistance.

The clip is called a belt clip.

The reason why is because you clip it on top of your trousers.

What to do if your hearing aid mould melts in the summer

I hope you are okay, I have some more information to share with you today.

Does your skeleton mould melt in the Summer?

In the summer if you have skeleton hearing aid mould it can melts and reforms in the heat. This can feel really uncomfortable.

What should i do?

You need to call the hospital and get an audiology appointment to get a new mould. This can take about a week or two to get an appointment.

How to Change your hearing aid battery

Hi world

This is how you change your hearing aids batteries:

1. Take the sticker bit off the back of the hearing aids battery.

2. Then put the battery in the right way ( it will not fit if you put it in the wrong )

3. Close it

Important Info

A hearing aid battery should last for roughly 2 weeks.

TIP – If your using an FM System then the battery will run out after a few days. (I always change mine every school week).

– Unfortunately you can’t recharge battery’s so you have to occasionally buy new ones.

Beginners Tips for an FM System in School

I have an FM system that i use at school. These are some tips to help a newbie out.

How it Works

There are 2 receivers that you put on your hearing aids and then you connect it to the microphone by pressing a button (in the middle top row).

The microphone goes around the teacher neck and when its on it makes their voice clearer and easier to hear.

Giving you no excuse not to do your homework as you can now clearly hear the teacher.

How to Use your FM System as Headphones

Attach one end of the lead to the microphone and the other to the computer or laptop port.

This makes it so that all the sound from the computer (you tube, games etc.) is fed directly to your hearing aids. Giving you awesome sound.

Advantages of the FM System

When a teachers has lost their voice, you are still able to hear them even though no one else can.

What to watch out for

Shouting – Make sure your teacher is aware that if they shout while the microphone is turned on that they will hurt your ears.

Battery – Your FM system runs down the battery in your hearing aid fast. You can only use the FM system for a maximum of around 2 days before the battery is empty and you have to buy a new battery.

Tips for the teacher

  1. turn off the microphone before shouting.
  2. Let everyone with hearing aids know before you shout and give them time to cover their ears.
  3. Remember to turn the microphone off after class if you don’t want someone listening in on your private conversations.
